Incoming Pegasus Scholars from overseas normally read for a postgraduate degree at Cambridge University (the LLM) and then come to London for three months via the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust. Two scholars arrive in the Spring via the American Inns of Court and spend six weeks in chambers. Since 2006 we have also hosted one or two incoming scholars from New Zealand during the autumn months. The scholars receive a stipend to help with accommodation and living expenses while they are in London. In addition to spending time in barristers’ chambers, scholars also visit various institutions such as the House of Lords, the Privy Council, the Faculty of Advocates in Edinburgh, the High Court in Belfast, the Commercial Judges and Queens Bench Masters at the Royal Courts of Justice and the Old Bailey.
