Martin Cheesman
Martin Cheesman was the Head Chef of The Inner Temple between 1992 - 2018 and was instrumental in transforming the dining experience in the Hall. Cheesman has had an illustrious career working for the likes of Shell, City of London institutions, and as a private chef for Robert Maxwell. His achievements were recognised by the Inn in the form of a silver salver presented by The Princess Royal.
Harini Iyengar completed her Law Degree at Oxford in 1996 and was called in 1999. She practises from 11 King’s Bench Walk and specialises in Employment, Public and Commercial Law. She was chosen to be one of 12 ‘amazing Brasenose College women’ out of 120 and her portrait currently hangs in the college.
The interview covers Cheesman’s career as a chef before coming to The Inner Temple, working as a private chef Robert Maxwell, the changes he made to the working arrangements of the Inner Temple kitchen, his relationship with Benchers, the chefs he admires and methods of training for chefs.
