A panel of experienced practitioners/judges will discuss criminal advocacy before international courts and tribunals, focusing on technique and differences to domestic courts and including a guided video demonstration. An open Q&A will follow.

• James Stewart – former Deputy Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court
• Andrew Cayley CMG QC – Chief Inspector of Her Majesty’s Crown Prosecution Service Inspectorate, former Director of Service Prosecutions, Chief International Co-Prosecutor of the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (the Khmer Rouge Tribunal), and counsel at the Special Court for Sierra Leone and the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia
• Kirsty Sutherland – barrister, 9 Bedford Row, specialising in international criminal law and military law
• Moderator: Steven Kay QC – Head of Chambers at 9 Bedford Row, leading international criminal lawyer
