The role will build upon the work of Her Honour Deborah Taylor, the former MPTS Chair who stepped down in April 2025 to lead the Valdo Calocane Inquiry. The successful candidate will play a significant role in ensuring the delivery of MPTS’s statutory responsibilities. MPTS is based in Manchester and consists of around 110 staff, c.300 Tribunal Members (Lay and Medical) and is managed day-to-day by the Executive Manager who takes direction from the Chair in the operational management of the MPTS.
The time commitment is c.2 days a week on a flexible basis. Based in Manchester (some home working is possible) with occasional travel to London. The full-time equivalent remuneration is £167,121 per annum (pro rate to c.2 days per week).
