The Inner Temple Library is looking to recruit two Evening Assistants for shelving work each weekday evening and on the Saturdays the Library is open (usually around 10 Saturdays in total).

The division of evenings and Saturdays will be made once the posts are filled. Usually one assistant works two evenings plus the Saturdays; the other assistant works three evenings.

In the evenings the shifts would be Monday-Thursday 6pm-8pm; Fridays 5pm-7pm. On the Saturdays we open, the hours are 12.30pm-4.30pm.

The rate of pay for weekdays is £16.45 per hour and on Saturdays the rate of pay is £19.20 per hour.

Successful applicants must be able demonstrate some relevant previous library experience.

With an immediate start date after the successful completion of our employment background checks, the fixed term contract will run from 8 September 2025 until the end of July 2026.
