The Honorable Martin L.C. Feldman

It is with much regret that we report that Master Feldman (The Honorable Martin L.C. Feldman) sadly died on Wednesday 26 January, aged 87. The Inn’s flag will fly at half-mast on Thursday 3 February, in his memory.

Master Feldman was nominated as a Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana by President Ronald Reagan in 1983, and received his commission later the same year. He was the second longest serving active federal district court judge in the country, serving until his death. He also served as a Judge of the US Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court from 2010-2017, and as a US Army Judge Advocate General's Corps Reserve Captain from 1957-1963 before attending law school.

Master Feldman was elected an Honorary Bencher of the Inn in 1990.
