We were shortlisted as a result of our work to widen access to the profession through our Pegasus Access and Support Scheme (PASS), which helps students from underrepresented backgrounds to secure mini-pupillages with partnering chambers, and supports the development of their professional and advocacy skills.
On presenting the award, the judging panel said:
The PASS scheme offers a real prospect to those from disadvantaged backgrounds, opening up the profession, and giving people a taste of what a career at the Bar looks like. A truly aspirational project and a worthy winner.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the sets of chambers that partner with PASS and all of the members of the Inn who generously give up their time to support the development of our students. We would also like to thank everyone who has taken part in PASS over the years.
