This course has been designed to ensure that all advocates, when dealing with witnesses from the whole spectrum of vulnerabilities from age and background to physical or mental health and other developmental issues, understand the key principles behind the approach to and questioning of vulnerable people in the justice system.

Courses are provided and run by the Inns and Circuits, with the training materials prepared by the Inns of Court College of Advocacy

All courses are open to all barristers, regardless of their Inn membership. To book onto any of the upcoming sessions below, please contact the relevant Inn:

Inner Temple

  • Tuesday 27October 2026 (evening) – in person at Inner Temple (please note there is a £50 deposit for this course, returnable after attendance).
