Advocacy Teacher Training Course

Become an advocacy trainer with the Inner Temple. At the heart of the Inn’s activities lies advocacy training for the next generation of advocates – training our members to teach pupils and, over time, New Practitioners.

How can I become an advocacy trainer?

Taught through a blend of in-person sessions (one weekend at the Inn in September) and online support via the Inn’s Digital Learning Hub:

  1. Learn how to provide focused advocacy feedback using the renowned Hampel Method.
  2. Practice giving feedback using the Hampel Method.
  3. Be assessed in order to become a provisional pupil trainer.
  4. Become an accredited trainer by teaching at a pupil advocacy residential weekend.
