Online introduction
Tuesday 8 September 2026, 6.00pm–7.00pm (via Zoom)
Course directors will introduce the Hampel Method of advocacy training. This session allows participants to become familiar with the method before the practical training weekend.
Training weekend
Saturday 12 September 2026, 9.00am–4.00pm
Participants practise the Hampel Method by reviewing advocacy exercises presented by volunteer students. Senior trainers provide feedback on each review.
Sunday 13 September 2026, 9.00am–1.00pm
Participants are assessed on their ability to deliver advocacy reviews. Senior trainers will decide whether participants can be accredited as provisional advocacy trainers.
Successful participants become provisional advocacy trainers.
To gain full accreditation, you must teach on one of the Inn’s residential advocacy courses for pupils within one year of completing the training.
