The Inner Temple Drama Society

FAQs

Who can join?

The Drama Society is open to any Student member of the Inner Temple whether you’re about to start your GDL or if you’re already a Bar student. You can remain a member until the end of your Pupillage year.

When can I join?

You can join as soon as you become a member of The Inner Temple

What does ITDS do?

We usually do 2 performances a year, but also embrace the skills of our members. If you’re a writer, dancer, facilitator, whatever, we’d love to hear from you and incorporate your talent into the society.

Do I have to do everything?

No! You can be as involved as you like! Take part in a show, drop into an improv session, or take part in a dance class. Join for a social if you like, the society is a great way to meet your peers and share your experiences of student life.

How do I join?

Joining is easy, you can email innertempledrama@gmail.com to let us know you’d like to be involved, or catch up with one of the team at one of the Bar Course intro evenings.

How much does it cost?

Membership is free.

How else can I help?

We are looking for anyone who wants to get involved in performance and production, whether you have a previous background, or just want to try something new. If acting isn’t your thing, we’re also keen to hear from directors, choreographers, stage managers, designers, musicians, dancers, you name it, if you’ve got experience or if you want to try a hand at it, please come along and we’ll find a place for you.

Where are you based?

We are based predominantly in London at the Inn, although we host a regional intro evening. We have also been running virtual dance classes during lockdown and much of our work will be virtual this year so everyone can get involved, regardless of location.
