The Inner Temple Drama Society

The Inner Temple Drama Society (ITDS) hosts a variety of events from improvisation sessions to annual productions including Shakespeare, Pantomimes, readings and more. Members of ITDS stem from GDL students to Barristers and Benchers and have involvement in all areas of productions, from writing to back-stage crew to the on-stage cast. The society also holds social events and provides a fantastic and welcoming support network within the Inn.

What We Do

We typically put on two performances a year; the Temple Shakespeare Cap (The Shake Off) in competition with Middle Temple, and a Pantomime in the Michaelmas term, written and directed by members of the society. We try to embrace the skill-sets of our members, and facilitate accordingly. For the past two years the society has also written and directed performances for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
