New Practitioners Ethics Course

The Inn’s New Practitioner Ethics Course is designed to improve your ability to identify and apply core professional duties to ethical challenges commonly faced by barristers.

The course is divided into four stages and is taught using a combination of independent learning and interactive group sessions. The course is run completely online.

The independent learning aspect includes pre-reading and self-assessments. The interactive group sessions are an opportunity to discuss a series of ethical dilemmas in a group setting.

We offer ethics courses in the following areas: civil, crime family and the Employed Bar.

Our course provides three full ethics hours of continuing professional development (CPD) and counts towards the 45 hours of CPD you need to complete in your New Practitioner Programme (NPP).
