I am currently studying an MSc in Forensic Psychology at Manchester Metropolitan University and in the process of developing a postgraduate research project exploring how legal professionals evaluate forensic psychology expert evidence in criminal cases. I’m hoping to speak with 10-15 practicing (or previously practicing, with courtroom experience) barristers and criminal solicitors in England and Wales who have experience working on criminal cases involving expert witnesses.
The study would involve reading a short fictional case vignette, completing a brief questionnaire, and then a brief interview (via MS Teams or in-person) to discuss their views and reasoning. Participation is entirely voluntary and all response will be anonymised and treated confidentially.
If you would like to be involved, please contact me by 01/09/2026.
