Security Manager (Head Porter)

We are looking for a Security Manager (Head Porter) to be responsible for the Inner Temple site-wide Security management framework and to ensure that the necessary protections are in place.  The role ensures compliance with relevant legislation and licensing requirements and will keep abreast of technical security developments, make proposals for further investment or change where appropriate, and oversee delivery to time and budget of any agreed projects.

The role leads and manages the team working on Security, Front of House and Reception and is also required to act as Duty Porter as part of the team of three Porters.  Responsible for managing budgets effectively to ensure value for money and manage the relevant third-party supplier relationships.  This team is going through a period of change, and the postholder will be key in the implementation of the new ways of working.

Salary is £43,229 per annum plus overtime earning opportunities, a generous non-contributory pension benefit, free lunches at work when the Inn’s kitchens are open with a taxed daily luncheon allowance provided when they are closed and 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays.

This is a full-time role with hours worked on a 3-week shift rotation – must be willing to work unsociable hours including early mornings, late nights and weekends. Due to the nature of the role, it is a live-in role with an entitlement to onsite accommodation within Inner Temple attached to it.
